A new and more effective cervical cancer screening, not covered by the public health system is now available through Crea-MeD. Liquid Based Cytology (LBC) makes it possible to diagnose abnormal cells earlier and more effectively. According to several studies, this new technique increases the sensitivity of the test more than 50% assuring women of better prevention (see technology).

At Crea-MeD, there is no need to wait weeks before receiving your vaginal cytology report as is often the case with a public health laboratory. Through our private laboratory, we guarantee to obtain the result within two business days of your screening. You will be notified by a member of our staff as soon as the results come in. In addition, we will assist you if the report of cytology is abnormal or merits further investigation (see algorithm ASCCP).

Following the standards of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), a cytology control, a screening for human papillomavirus (HPV) or a colposcopy will be offered when appropriate. Our consulting gynecologist can arrange for a private colposcopy within 10 days if necessary. You will no longer have wait months to know whether or not you're afflicted with a cancerous lesion and if problems do arise, you can be treated quickly to the highest standard through our clinic.
